Meet the fabulously talented cast who bring Caligula alive!
(Caligula) has been Medicine Show Theatre’s technical director since 2007, lead producer & CFO since 2015, beginning with MST’s production of On the Border. Favorite MST roles include David Williams in Helen of Troy NY, Filch in The Beggar’s Opera, Rosencrantz in Mr. Shakespeare and Mr. Porter and the Street Sweeper in 10 Blocks on the Camino Real.
(Caesonia) is an honors graduate from New World School of the Arts/University of Florida and studies at HB Studios. He has performed with Garth Fagan Dance and has worked as a runway/print model and actor in various theater, television series and movie productions. Theatre: The Other Woman, Horse, Mr. Chekov and Mr. Porter. Film: My Dinner with Schwartzey. TV: HBO’s Girls (Episode: Boys), Fish. He is currently represented by Bella Agency, NY and Wild Models Talent, LA.
(Helicon) with Medicine Show: Einstein in Jack Agueros’ Notary Sojac, Prisypkin in Mayakovsky’s The Bedbug, Grizzle in Tom Thumb, and the title role in Shaw’s Don Juan in Hell. Other recent credits: Barefoot Theater Co’s revival of Raft of the Medusa, an adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard (Brave New World Rep’s The Plantation), and the world premiere of Erik Ehn’s Clover at LaMaMa. www.perribazyaniv.com
(Cherea, Musician) is an actor, singer, playwright and filmmaker recently returned to New York City. She hit the pavement running by landing the role of Teller in Nylon Fusion’s production of Black Boy. When not working with this amazing group on Caligula, she’s creating her upcoming one-woman show r_Evolution for Rising Sun’s Labortorium. (Scipio) is a multidisciplinary actor and dancer, originally from San Francisco. He has trained in Grotowski’s physical-based acting technique at the Experimental Theatre Wing (Tisch School of the Arts, NYU) and is a Meisner conservatory graduate of the Terry Knickerbocker Studio. (First Patrician, Steward, Poet) has appeared in various productions around NYC including Macbeth, Owless in Santa Clara, 61 Dead Men, The Three Sisters, Hamlet, The Cherry Orchard, The Merchant of Venice, and The Devils. Samuel is proud and excited to be part of this current production.
(Old Patrician) with Medicine Show: Bos in 14 Little Red Huts, Morris in Nize Baby, Sartre in Living History, Typist/Interrogator in Four by Jack, Quixote and the Baron in 10 Blocks on the Camino Real, Merlin in Tom Thumb, Mr. Hardrun in Wall Street. (Drusilla, Mucius’ Wife, Patrician, Guard, Poet) originally from Germany, is thrilled to be making her debut with the Medicine Show Theater Ensemble this season. She graduated in June from the Stella Adler Studio Conservatory, where she appeared in The Women and Beautiful Bodies. Other recent credits include The Imaginary Invalid (Foro Contigo América, Mexico-City), The Merry Nibelungs and The Flower of Hawaii (Theater Ulm, Germany). Diana is part of New Wave Theater Collective and a founding member of Manalanga Theater Company.
(Mereia, Metellus, Guard, Poet) after working for more than ten years in TV, radio, theatre and film in the Dominican Republic, moved to New York to attend the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, where he appeared in August: Osage County and Lizards... Other credits include Dangerous Game (XMT Theater), Final Chord (Teatro Nacional) and Legally Blonde: The Musical (Palacio de Bellas Artes). (Lepidus, Third Patrician, Poet): Credits include Architruc and Dutchmasters at Williamstown Theater Festival. Other recent credits are the Tennessee Williams Project, Gilligan’s Survivor and Uprising at the Gene Frankel Theater.
(Mucius, Second Patrician, Poet) is excited to be in his first performance with the Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble. Recent credits: Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cinesias in Lysistrata, both with The Rose City Shakespeare Company. He will begin training with The Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in October.
